Updated Ride for the Fallen Flyer

May Updates

Thank you to everyone who participated in the call last week.  For those of you who couldn’t make it, we discussed the annual Run for the Fallen in more detail, the upcoming Ride for the Fallen (which had been rescheduled from April to 14 June due to weather) and the annual Gold Star Banquet which will be held 8 November.  For anyone interested, you can go to the “Upcoming Events” page to purchase tickets for the Banquet still.  Make sure to get them by 1 June!  The prices will be increasing from $25 to $35 after the 1st!

We are still working on the updated flyer for the Ride for the Fallen and will hopefully have that posted on the website and our Facebook page within the next week or so.  This event will go on RAIN OR SHINE.  If you are not a motorcycle rider or even just would rather drive it in a car, you are also welcome to “cage” it (which means drive in a traditional vehicle).  Registration fees are the same, no matter how many wheels you drive.  Additionally there will be some opportunities for Honor and Remember to set up at other events so keep checking back for those dates (tentatively in August and September as of now).  Of course we are always looking for more volunteers to help out with events!

The Run for the Fallen was another success this year and we’d like to give a special thank you to everyone who came out and participated and/or volunteered for the event.  We also were able to present a flag at the Run.  Pictures are on the “Past Events” page if you are interested.

Also, tickets for the raffle items are still on sale!  You can purchase tickets online HERE, in person, or via check in the mail and do NOT need to be present (or local) to win.  The raffle will be drawn in November at the Banquet.  We will be putting together a schedule of places in North Carolina where the items will be on display if you would like to see them in person as well.

Additionally we are still in need for an assistant director as well as someone who can handle public relations.  If you are willing to commit to helping us write up quick articles for newspapers and stations for events, please contact us!  Thank you again to everyone for all of your support, we couldn’t do all of this without you!
